Understanding the Market... Really?

I've never liked financial news. It always feels like a shallow story glued onto yesterday’s chart.

Markets move for a thousand reasons. Economic, geopolitical, behavioral, structural. But most coverage reduces it to: “Here’s the narrative we’ve decided fits.” We can do better.

I’ve spent years piecing together this system from a messy web of sources. Macro data, Fed decisions, ETF flows, dealer positioning, fiscal policy, sentiment shifts... it’s all connected. But no single source puts it all together with honesty and clarity.

That’s what Alethia is about.

This project is my attempt to distill the global financial system, across time frames from decades to microseconds, into a data-driven framework for understanding. Not just what moved… but why. Not just what someone said… but what matters.

Alethia isn’t about hot takes or predictions. It’s about first-principle insight. It’s about building a lens that helps you see the forces beneath the noise.

It’s ambitious, yes. But, I believe we can do better, and I believe we deserve truth, or at least our best approximation of it.
